Billy is addicted to sweets. Every time you see him he is gorging himself with sugary sweets. He doesn't mind though because when your a pig being fat is not a bad thing. He is very proud of his big buns. 

Billy measures  4 " tall by 2" across with a 1 1/2" depth.

 Billy would look sweet hanging from a tree or in a vignette with your other treasures. He could also be fitted in a shadow box bearing the dimensions of the shelves.

    Lydia is such a happy girl. She is a flying pig and verifies that their is one variety of pigs that truly do fly. She struts around in the sky enjoying her view of the world. Ms. Catrina Meowens

Catrina is a flying cat. She was orphaned at birth due to the unusual wing protrusions coming from both sides of her body. Fortunately Catrina was adopted by the Meowens family. They adored Catrina and viewed her affliction as an asset. She was trained to deliver packages for the family business.  

Catrina measures  4 1/4" tall by  3  " across. You could use her as an ornament or displayed amongst other objects for an interesting vignette.

Santa and Zeb

"Santa and Zeb"

This Santa Gourd was painted by me on a natural thick shelled gourd. He has been hand painted in rich hues of red, green, vintage white and other colors. Various painting techniques were used to bring out depth and contrast. This Santa sports a great big smile. He holds a doll, Christmas tree and gingerbread on one side and a teddy bear, and gift. His best friend Zeb a Yellow Labrador accompanies him on his yearling outing to bring gifts to the kids.

Santa and Princess Sophia

Santa is a one of a kind Original Gourd character created by me Penny Grotz Streit. Santa is painted on a thick shelled gourd. He is painted as a visual story. Santa holds a Chihuahua princes Sophia and a poinsetta garland in his left hand and arm. Santa holds a doll and and lantern in his other hand. He has an ornery elf peeking out of his hood on the back.(probably afraid Santa will put him to work).I placed some paper mache at the top of his hat for a ball. He has brush stroke decoration on the sleeves and middle edges of his coat for added interest. The Chihuahua is painted after my own precious Sophia and if you have ever been owned by a Chihuahua you understand they go by Princess or Prince as you are merely here only to serve them.

He is large and measures12" tall by 7" across with a 7" depth.

This guy would look so sweet sitting on a sideboard, mantel or table in a Christmas vignette. Santa has been painted in rich hues using various painting techniques to bring out depth and eye catching features. He is sure to become a family heirloom. Santa holds a basket with his best friend a West Highland Terrier named Snowball. Santa holds a doll and Christmas wreath in his hands. There is a Christmas tree and presents painted on his back. I placed some paper mache at the top of his hat for a ball. This protects the stem of the gourd which was left exposed to remind the viewer of his earthly beginnings. 
This guy would look so sweet sitting on a sideboard, mantel or table in a Christmas vignette. Santa has been painted in rich hues using various painting techniques to bring out depth and eye catching features. He is sure to become a family heirloom.

GOURD TRIVIA- Gourds are highly durable. There are some in existence that are hundreds of thousands years old.

Halloween Pumpkin Candy Container "Claude Gourdans"

Claude  is a one of a kind Halloween folk art candy container , painted and created by me. His head is a gourd attached to a paper mache box that can hold candy or other treasures.  Claude is painted in colors of burnt orange, soft black and vintage white. 

  Claude  has a crepe paper color and various Halloween scenes painted on each side of the box. An owl, witch, skeleton and pumpkins. 

Claude measures 11 1/2 " tall by 6 " across. Claude will come artist signed and dated with a 1/1 indicating he is a one of a kind and will not be recreated. He has been faux antiqued with a umber wash. Claude has several coats of sealer applied for protection

IDEAS: this art piece would be delightful sitting upon your desk in waiting to offer your family or clients a morsel of candy.

Ms. Corine Demise

    Corine Demise
Ms. Corine Demise is a one of a kind folk art Goth, Day of the Dead or De Los Muertos, skeleton or Voo Doo Doll. She wiles away the day hanging out with her gruesome little buddies in the CREEP SHOW. As you can see in the one photo she tends to crawl out of her cubby at night and roam the house. The colors to this piece are black, white and red.
Corine was created by me from muslin and then hand painted. She comes with the shadow box that was also created by me. The little crying heart, odd little bird man were also created by me from paper clay. The Shadow box is decorated in fun papers, trims and vintage laceCorine stands 13" tall by 2.75" across. The shadow box measures 15" tall by 7.5" across. The bats are included and will add and additional 6" to the piece. The flying bats and doll can be removed. The other items are permanently glued in place.
